Prices
Why per round?
Because boxes don't compare. A box of 50 and a case of 1,000 of the same load say nothing side by side. What one round costs does.
- bigrandaddy.com $9.58÷20 47.9¢
- ammohero.com $45,240.66÷84,000 53.9¢
Is shipping in the price?
Not yet. Prices are before shipping and tax, as the shop lists them. We're working with shops to bring their shipping in, so a round's price can be what it costs to get it to your door. Until then, where a shop ships free, we tag it.
Shipping can change which shop is cheapest, so check it before you buy. It's also why some shops are tier 2.
How fresh are the prices?
As fresh as each shop lets us keep them. Some let us ask for every price at once, often; others are pages we recheck in turn. We keep that loop as tight as each shop and its rules allow, and a change shows here as soon as we see it.
The shop's price isn't the one you showed
Prices move between our check and your click. Some show only in the cart, or for buying two or more; those are tagged.
If it's plain wrong, tap Price wrong? under it. A flag tells us to look. It doesn't change what's lowest.
What does “Buying up to” do?
It leaves out packs bigger than you'd buy, so a case of 1,000 doesn't win when you want a box of 50.
Why sign in to go to a shop?
Signed out or in, a load's page shows every shop's price, its pack sizes and its history. The way to each shop's listing is what took us the work to find, so it waits until you sign in, free with just your email. That keeps it from robots copying it wholesale.
Shops
Which shops do you check?
23 tier 1 shops, and tier 2 shops besides. You see tier 1 shops' prices unless you ask for both, from the shop count on the home page or here, on any load's page:
Your choice stays until you change it.
Why isn't my favorite shop here?
Most likely we don't know it yet, or haven't got to adding it. Tell us which one, and we'll get on it.
What's tier 2?
Shops we still check, but don't show first. Our prices are before shipping, so a low price per round can hide a high cost to ship. When shoppers tell us a shop's total at checkout came out at or above what they'd have paid for a pricier round elsewhere, we move it to tier 2.
Tier 1 isn't a promise about any shop. Wherever you buy, check the shipping first.
Run a shop in tier 2, and think we've got it wrong? Tell us why, and we'll look again.
Can I buy from you?
No. We don't sell ammunition. Go to takes you to the shop's own page, and you buy there, on its terms: its shipping, its returns, and where it will ship.
Can a shop pay to rank higher?
No. The order is the price per round, and nothing else decides it.
How do you make money?
Links to shops may carry our affiliate code, so the shop pays us a little when you buy — it doesn't affect the price you pay.
And you clicked because that shop had the price. A code can't change which shop that is.
Watches
How does a watch work?
Name a price per round. We email you once when a shop has it at that or less. You'll hear again only if it climbs back over your price and falls to it again.
Why at least 5% under the lowest?
So a watch is never met the moment you set it. A price you can have now, you can buy now.
Can one watch cover more than one load?
Yes. Search, then watch the search: “Any 9mm FMJ at 25¢ per round or less” covers every brand at every shop, in one watch.
It's sold out everywhere. Can you tell me when it's back?
Yes. On its page, Tell me when it's back. We email you when a shop has it again.
You and your email
Why no password?
Because most passwords are easy to guess, or used on other sites too, and one leak opens them all. So we don't keep any.
We email you a code, good for 15 minutes, once. Add a passkey and next time it's your device's fingerprint, face or screen lock.
What do you do with my email?
Send you sign-in codes, the watch emails you set, and answers when you write to us. Nothing else, and never spam. We don't sell, rent or share it. Privacy has the rest.
How do I stop the emails?
Unwatch from your Saved page. There's nothing else to stop: each email is one watch, met.
How do I delete my account?
Settings, from the gear at the foot of any page once you're signed in, then Delete my account. It takes your stars and watches with it. Backups hold them a few days more, then they're gone.
